Who We Are

We preserve, steward,
and protect Warner Parks.

Friends of Warner Parks is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation, protection, and stewardship of Percy Warner and Edwin Warner Parks.

Percy and Edwin Warner Park are metropolitan parks under the jurisdiction of Metro Parks and Recreation. As a friends organization, we fundraise to elevate the care of the parks.

Warner Parks saw an era of decline in the 1960’s and 1970’s that led a group of concerned neighbors to found Friends of Warner Parks in 1987. Modeling New York’s Central Park Conservancy, Friends of Warner Parks set out to raise much-needed funding, the second such group to form in the nation in support of a metropolitan park.

Our Impact

Friends of Warner Parks continues to be a model for metropolitan parks nationwide- investing over $37 million in the park to date. In close partnership with Metro Nashville Parks & Recreation Department, FOWP:
Such is possible with friends like you; individual, corporate and foundation donors, members, and grantmaking organizations.
The public-private partnership between Friends and Metro Parks leverages both taxpayer dollars and charitable contributions, accomplishing more than either entity could separately.
