Design with the Entirety of the Ecosystem In Mind

It’s an honor and a privilege to announce The Warner Park Nature Center is a proud recipient of the

Living Building Design Assistance from the Nashville Living Futures Collaborative.

What is a Living Building?

- Regenerative buildings that connect occupants to light, air, food, nature, and community.

- Self-sufficient and remain within the resource limits of their site.

- Create a positive impact on the human and natural systems that interact with them.

The regenerative design framework creates spaces that, “like a flower, give more than they take.” (International Living Future Institute)

As recipients of this prestigious award, The Living Building Collaborative will work hand in hand with our Landscape Master Planning Team to develop a schematic design for Warner Park Nature Center Campus improvements, representing Phase 2 of our It’s My Nature Campaign

We look forward to keeping you all informed as we launch into the designing process, and invite you all to learn more about the three major priorities of the It’s My Nature Campaign.

Now more than ever, we recognize the invaluable presence of Warner Parks in regards to the mental and physical health of our community - and now more than ever - we recognize the importance of sustainable building practices, ensuring that which is built benefits the entirety of the ecosystem of which it is a part.
