Nashville's City Nature Challenge

April 21, 2021

Global Bio-Blitz

The City Nature Challenge is an annual 4-day global bio-blitz that takes place Friday, April 30 through Monday, May 3.

Embracing the Healing Power of Nature

Begun as a competition between cities to document the most biodiversity, this year's focus is on “embracing the healing power of nature” and celebrating people documenting biodiversity in their communities.

Join us for an Excursion!

You can participate on your own and/or in one or more of our scheduled programs through the Warner Park Nature Center:

Friday, April 30: CNC Kickoff

Saturday, May 1: Bio-blitz in Warner Parks

Monday, May 3: CNC Participant Share

DIY City Nature Challenge

So too can you participate on your own time - from the comfort of your back yard - or anywhere else in nature.

All you need is a smartphone or a camera to take photos of different organisms and to download the FREE iNaturalist app.

Our Cumberland River Compact Partnership

The Warner Park Nature Center is partnering with the Cumberland River Compact to spearhead Nashville's City Nature Challenge. Visit their website for additional programs and how-to videos, and join us all in citizen science by documenting the biodiversity all around us!
